1999 年，源于儿时的梦想，金亚珍穿上警服，成为一名光荣的监狱人民警察，那时的她还未曾想到，自己将会在罪犯炊场这一方寸之地中大展身手。

2023年，金亚珍接手了未管所罪犯炊场的管理工作，这也是她职业生涯的一次重大挑战——如何把一批毫无烧饭实操经验的罪犯培养成合格的厨师？如何升级扩容炊场，保障罪犯伙食供应？

亲力亲为的“总管家”

罪犯的一日三餐绝非简单的饮食供应，其中蕴含着大学问。除了保障最基本的食品安全、卫生之外，对于病犯等特殊群体，满足他们的特殊饮食需求也是一项不容忽视的重要任务。

在金亚珍的心中，罪犯炊场不仅仅是一个做饭的地方，更是教育改造的阵地。她常对罪犯们说：“烧饭的幸福感，来自于对当下的专注，对用餐者的关怀，对生活的用心。每一次烹饪，都是一次传递爱与温暖的过程。你们要把这份心意送给自己，送给他人，更要送给社会。”这些朴实的话语，看似简单，却饱含着她多年教育矫治罪犯的智慧。

罪犯小秀（化名）从小受家人宠爱，性格骄纵，从未做过家务，在炊场做事情也总是拖泥带水，不情不愿。金亚珍多次与她开展个别谈话，关心她的情况。
“父母这么爱你，难道你要在他们身上啃一辈子老吗？你从现在开始学会为家里人烧一桌饭菜。哪怕只是把厨房收拾得整洁明亮，也会让他们感到宽慰。”小秀被金警官的话打动，从笨拙到熟练，她变得越来越踏实成熟。
家属会见时，小秀向家人许下了“等我回来，给你们烧一桌饭”的承诺，金亚珍内心满是欣慰，她知道，自己的话语已经种在了她的心里，生根发芽，开花结果。
作为一名共产党员，金亚珍始终以身作则，用自己的实际行动诠释着对职业的热爱与追求。她常常与年轻民警分享工作心得与管教方法，用自己的担当奉献感染着身边的人。在她的身上，充分展现了“工作无小事，平凡也光荣”的道理。
