迈出共同富裕的新步伐

As an American journalist who has committed myself to the life mission of telling the story of and contributing to China's overall development, and especially its poverty alleviation, I truly look forward to the outcomes of the 20th National Congress. It was a remarkable experience to cover the 19th Congress from the front lines, and this marks an opportunity to see how the announcements made five years ago have consequently manifested as progress. The capstone of my work chronicling China's progress has been my bestselling book, "Closer to Heaven: A Global Nomad's Journey Through China's Poverty Alleviation", based on my travels to often-remote communities throughout every province on the Chinese mainland to explore firsthand how China has achieved this miracle. Following China's elimination of extreme poverty and achievement of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, I look forward to what the 20th Congress will mean for the next steps of common prosperity as the country works toward the second centenary goal of building a great modern sociality country in all respects.

身为一名美国记者，我一直致力于对中国的整体发展进行报道，并为中国的发展贡献力量，尤其是扶贫工作。对于中国共产党第二十次全国代表大会的成果，我个人充满期待。对我来讲，在第一线报道十九大已是一次非凡的经历，同时，这标志着一次机遇——见证了十九大精神是如何一步步实现的。于我个人而言，对中国进行记录的顶峰，是自己所撰写的畅销书《太阳升起——‘美国小哥’见证中国扶贫奇迹》。这本书的写作基于我在中国大陆各个省份偏远地区的旅行，并将自己亲身探索中国是如何实现这一奇迹的点滴记录其中。在中国全面消除极端贫困，并实现全面建成小康社会的目标后，我期待着二十大的胜利召开：这意味着中国将向全面建成社会主义现代化强国，并为实现第二个百年奋斗目标迈出共同富裕的新步伐。
